For more details or to pre-book assistance, please call the Virgin Trains JourneyCare reservation service on 08457 44 33 66 (08457 44 33 67 for text phone users).
Lines are open between 0800 to 2200 every day (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day). To help us help you, we ask that requests for assistance and wheelchair space reservations be made at least 24 hours before you intend to travel.
Better access
As we upgrade stations, we're building wheelchair-accessible toilets as well as improving our ticket office designs, waiting rooms, car parks and public address systems to better cater for our disabled customers.
We've ensured that all of our new trains comply with the 1998 Rail Vehicle Accessibility Regulations, including:
- accessible toilets with grab handles and alarms.
- improved signage, with safety instructions in Braille.
- wider doorways, and highly visible exterior doors.
- wheelchair space in First Class and Standard class.
- both come with low-level table, emergency alarm and Virgin's own audio entertainment system. (Please remember to reserve these priority spaces 24 hours in advance).
