Terms & conditions

1. This promotion is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over except employees and their immediate families of Virgin Trains, its agencies or anyone else professionally connected with the promotion, who are precluded from entry.
2. Only one entry per person.
3. All entries must be received by 6pm 24 October 2008.
4. The winner will be drawn at random under independent supervision and notified by email within one week of the closing date.
5. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and entry into the promotion is deemed to signify acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
6. The First Prize winner and their guest will win two nights at the Mossgrove Hotel, Grasmere in an executive twin or double room, with breakfast. The prize is valid for two consecutive nights and is subject to availability. The prize also includes two copies of the Ecoescape guide, bike hire for two people for one day (available from Windemere Station) and one meal worth up to £50 for two people at the Jumble Room Restaurant in Grasmere. Virgin Trains will provide return First Class tickets to Oxenholme Lake District station and standard class tickets for a connecting train to Windemere station. All transfers and additional costs not listed here will be at the prize winner’s expense – Virgin Trains and Ecoescape are not liable for these.
7. The Second Prize is for one winner and their guest to stay two nights in an Eco Pod at the Eskdale Camping and Caravanning Club Site and is valid for two consecutive nights and is subject to availability. Please ensure you bring your camping equipment including mattress, linen, bedding and any cooking equipment. Virgin Trains will provide return First Class tickets to Oxenholme Lake District station and standard class tickets for a connecting train to Ravenglass station. Tickets for the steam engine from Ravenglass to nearby Dalegarth Station will be provided, which is a quarter of a mile walk from the Eco Pods. All transfers and additional costs not listed here will be at the prize winner’s expense.
8. The prizes must be taken by 31 January 2009 and is not valid during school holidays including Half Term and Christmas.
9. Discount for Ecoescape guide valid until 31 September 2008. Only one discount per person to one UK address. Discount does not include postage and packing which is charged at £1 per order. Orders will be fulfilled by the publisher. Please allow 7 working days for delivery.
10. No cash or other prize alternative is available.
11. The prize in non-transferable and must be taken by the winner in person unless agreed otherwise in writing by the promoter.
12. By entering, you are agreeing that if you win you may be used in any related publicity with Virgin Trains.
